RENEWABLE ENERGY PROJECTS
Beyond solar and storage.
Solar PV, battery storage and DC power infrastructure are our core business. But the right answer for a site is not always solar.
A river with an existing weir. A municipality paying to landfill waste it could burn. A farm with more manure than land to spread it on. A district heating network running on coal. Each of these is an energy project, and each has a real market in the Balkans.
We develop and deliver across the wider renewable spectrum where the resource, the site or the offtake structure points in that direction.
Wind
Onshore wind development and delivery: resource assessment, micrositing, grid connection engineering and construction management.
Wind resource across the Balkans is concentrated in specific corridors, which makes site selection decisive. Where the resource is there, wind complements solar well — the generation profiles are largely uncorrelated, and hybrid configuration on a shared connection point extracts more revenue from the same connection capacity.
Waste-to-Energy
Municipal waste management in most Balkan countries remains dependent on landfill, under EU accession pressure to change. This creates a policy-driven market rather than a purely commercial one.
Energy recovery from municipal and industrial waste streams turns a disposal cost into a revenue stream, producing both electricity and heat. The technology is established. What determines whether a project works is the waste supply agreement, the gate fee structure and the offtake arrangement — which makes this as much a contractual exercise as an engineering one.
Landfill gas capture is the lower-cost entry point: methane extraction from existing sites, generating power from a resource currently vented to atmosphere.
Hybrid Configurations
We do not promote a technology. We assess what a site, a resource or a waste stream can actually support, and what the regulatory and offtake environment will pay for it.
Where a project works, we take it through the same sequence as any other: development, engineering, financing, construction and operation. Where it does not, we say so before the investment is committed.
How We Approach These
The strongest projects increasingly combine technologies on a single grid connection.
Solar with storage. Wind with solar. Biogas providing firm output alongside intermittent generation. Where connection capacity is the binding constraint — as it is across most of this region — hybrid design is the most direct way to increase the revenue a connection point can carry.
